i just wanted to let you know that i’m very thankful that i’ve found your site.
i was looking for a plugin and found several people trying to explain how to get the n95 8gb working with isync, tutorials, howto, references, posts, forum threads and so on…

This plugin worked for my Nokia N95 8GB using Mac OSX 10.4. I tried a fair few other plugins but they all seemed to not recognise the N95 8G.

by the way do you a solution to use my PARROT PARTY bluetooth portable soundbox. My problem is that tiger does not support AD2P and my soundox uses AD2P… any trick ?

Same with me here. On the nokia site they offer a plugin which doesn’t support de N95 8gb. This one does perfectly under os 10.4.11 and isync 2.4!

Does not work with leopard

Thanks for trying, but it does not work. At least not if you have 10.5.1.

Since seems to work for most people, but not for some (I use 10.5.1 myself, and this plug-in), perhaps there are variations in the phone firmware? My N95 8Gb was bought here in Singapore and has firmware v 10.0.021 (according to Device Manager).

Afraid this doesn’t work for me running 10.5.1. and Nokia N95 8GB v1.15 software

I cannot thank you enough!!! I bought my N95 8G at their store in NYC six weeks ago, and I have almost wanted to throw it at the wall. I went up to Nokia tech support, who steered me to a plugin that didn’t work. Since then, I’ve been looking all over. And this one just worked clean as can be. Perfect. Do you know anything about adding and defining a new sync profile on the phone with a name for this? The two profiles already in the phone are called lifeblog and pc suite.

Now, if you could just publish how to get the GPS to work!

Hello, perhaps I spoke too soon. Although the plug in worked, I am now getting incoming calls with plus sign (+) in front of the numbers, and my custom ring tones have disappeared. Nokia support has no answers. Any ideas how to solve this? I am now afraid to sync my phone anymore. Regards, BG

bonvie, do not be so negative. I have Nokia 6110n and the official Nokia iSync plugin does the same. It syncs, but all incoming calls and text messages show with numbers and not with names.

The Nokia support asked me to see if I have duplicate entries with same number. How hard would it have been to take the first hit from the list, instead of showing just the number :p

I do not mean to be negative, just frustrated. I gave up on sync until today, now isync does not even want to complete even though it sees the phone. I am going to paste the message it gives me:

And, there are no open applications that I know of that are running. any help much welcome.

Sadly, no joy with the plugin. I will crawl around to my neighbours (devout PC users) and beg the use of their system toupdate the N95 8GB firmware. Maybe this will help.

I echo the remarks of some above that it is pretty crummy of Nokia not to a) have anticipated this problem and b) responded to it.

If any of you have a suggested fix, please pass it on.
